By 10 octobre 2025No Comments

Quebec City, 9 octobre 2025 - Today, Carrefour de l'eau has reached a decisive milestone in its responsible resource management project, with the first delivery of treated and recycled wastewater for industrial use, in collaboration with Can-Explore.

Can-Explore thus becomes the first industrial partner to collaborate with the Carrefour de l'eau to integrate treated and recycled water into its activities. This pioneering partnership contributes directly to water conservation, while paving the way for other companies to follow suit.

"As a founding partner and supplier of water treatment technology, we are proud to see our solution deployed, thanks in particular to the collaboration of partners specializing in cutting-edge technologies. We are confident that this first delivery will open the door for other industrial players in Quebec to embark on this path, enabling greater acceptance and use of treated and recycled wastewater." Guillaume Clairet, Operations Manager, H2O Innovation

"Can-Explore is proud to be involved in this innovative Carrefour de l'eau project! It's this forward-thinking, innovation-driven approach that drives us every day to consolidate our place as a leader in the sustainable management of infrastructure assets." Louis Légaré-Lapointe, co-founder and president of Can-Explore

"We're very proud to see this first major milestone for the Carrefour de l'eau come to fruition today! This supply of recycled water shows that it is possible to rethink our relationship with this resource and take concrete action to preserve it, starting now. Together, let's keep up the momentum - may Can-Explore's avant-garde approach inspire others to commit to a more sustainable and responsible future. Alexandre Guindon, General Manager, 2 Degrés and Carrefour de l'eau

As the first season of Quebec City's wastewater treatment and recycling technology showcase draws to a close, Carrefour de l'eau salutes the commitment of forward-thinking industrial players like Can-Explore. Their willingness to experiment with new environmental practices right now demonstrates that it is possible to integrate more responsible water management into industrial uses - today.

Launched over the summer, the technology showcase will continue to play a central role in the sector's development from October onwards. Designed as a mobile water treatment and recycling laboratory, it will serve as an initial technical presentation and dissemination platform to advance sustainable water technologies - reinforcing the Carrefour de l'eau's ambition to make Quebec City a world-class hub for water-related technologies.
